Synthetic Gene Database (SGDB) is a resource that collects information on synthetic genes (mainly re-designed for protein over-expression) and their experimental results. It is designed and implemented by Gang Wu in the EvolvingCode Group at UMBC.

To date, this version of database (SGDB V1.1) has collected 205 publications that reported synthetic genes in their studies (among which, 243 natural genes and 271 synthetic genes have been retrieved and stored in SGDB).
